Its been an Amazing Summer

This summer was a summer for the memory books. We got my buddy Reid and his Dad on their first Tarpon ever. Leo who is 9 caught his new Personal Best 40 inch snook and we made so many more great memories catching a lot of fish. Fishing camp afforded me the opportunity to meet a lot of great people, fish with kids from across the country and locally and I got to know the other Captains of the camp much better as well.

This Summer was very productive and I got to spend a lot of time on the water. I surely became a better fishing Captain just from putting that time in on the water. I have said many times in baseball but it surely applies to fishing now as well… “Its not the guy with the nicest bat who is the best hitter, It is the guy who spends the most time working on his craft’. To apply this to fishing now, its not the guy with the nicest boat who catches the most fish… its the guy that spends the most time on the water finding fish, who catches the most fish. Now don’t get me wrong having a nice boat helps and I do have a nice boat with many custom features that makes catching fish easier but ultimately its just putting the time in and paying attention to the details.
